Dr Akhil Haria BDS (Hons) 2010 MJDF (2012) RCS (ENG)
Principal Dentist (GDC 194114)
Akhil graduated from Barts & The London, Queen Mary University of London in 2010. After completing his training in Northampton, and enjoying several years helping patients smile more confidently, he set up Eyes & Smiles Dental Practice in Friern Barnet with his brother, Preemal Haria.
Akhil has a keen interest in adult orthodontics and tooth straightening, and has plenty of experience in both traditional fixed braces, as well as newer clear braces.
He is a certified provider of Inman Aligner, Clear Smile Aligners, Quick Straight Teeth as well as completing a 2 Year advanced braces course to allow him to treat more complex orthodontic cases and achieve confident smiles!
He loves to help restore confidence in patients who want to improve their smile in newer techniques which involve minimal intervention. Some ways to do this are to straighten teeth to avoid unnecessary drilling of teeth, as well as composite bonding where tooth surfaces are restored, to improve the appearance and function of the teeth. As a Digital Smile Dentistry certified dentist, he is able to design and preview your new smile before you go ahead with any treatment, to ensure you will be happy with your end result.
To aid in this he has recently introduced SmileFast technique which is a minimally invasive way of improving the appearance of worn or misshapen teeth by composite bonding. He enjoys coupling this with teeth whitening and tooth-alignment to give patients a safe and proven approach to cosmetic dentistry.
In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering, travelling, discovering the city, and actively follows Arsenal football club. After getting married last year, Akhil is now based back in London and has found a new liking to DIY and gardening in his new home!
Dr Preemal Haria BDS 2012 MJDF (2013) RCS (ENG) PgDip (Aesth Rest. & Endo 2021)
Principal Dentist (GDC 228400)
Preemal graduated from King's College London in 2012. He then completed a year working in London Hospitals as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Senior House Officer, before returning to General Practice in London and Bedford locations. In 2017 he and his brother, Akhil, opened Eyes & Smiles Dental Clinic together.
His main interests are in Minimally Invasive Dentistry including Bespoke white fillings, Prevention, Children's Dentistry, Gum Treatment and Implant Surgery. He frequently attends courses and congresses to keep up to date with the latest Evidence-Based Dentistry. He is a member of ITI (International Team for Implantology) and offers advice to peers. He is certified to carry out to place and restore Dental Implants since 2016.
He is also certified as an Invisalign Full Provider after having completed further courses, which means patients now have an alternative, discreet way of Teeth Straightening. Invisalign Full means he can offer the option of improving more than just the front few teeth with clear aligners.
He recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics with Aspire Academy.
Outside of clinic he has been involved in National and International research presentations in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry.
Dentistry is a busy commitment but in his spare time, he enjoys travelling, music and video editing, keeping active and since February last year, settling into a newly married life! During lockdown he has also has found a new love for graphic designing.
Anett Vecseri
Hygienist (GDC 285368)
Anett is our friendly, dedicated Dental Hygienist who works with us on Wednesdays. She has been with our team for over a year now to help care for our patients' oral hygiene needs. Having already qualified and worked in Hungary, she has completed the relevant conversion programme set out by GDC in order to be dually qualified for UK. Prior to her time as a hygienist she has been working as a Dental Nurse too.
Patients have been amazed at their gums and teeth after hygiene, periodontal or airpolishing cleaning carried out by Anett. She is especially good with anxious patients.
In her spare time she enjoys taking her doggy, Biscuit, out for walks and spending time with her daughter.
Susmita Ghosh
Dental Nurse (GDC 304145)
Susmita is our friendly, enthusiastic Dental Nurse. She will assist you throughout your stay with us and ensure you feel at maximum comfort from the moment you walk in to see us. Susmita maintains excellent standards of infection control and helps our Dentists give you the perfect treatment experience. She will assist you through your entire journey, whether it is for an examination, a Smile Makeover or a Dental Implant. Our patients know her to be approachable and loves to answer any questions you may have. Outside of the clinic she enjoys spending time with friends and family and has an interest in art and cooking!
Klenisa Tsoufai
Dental Nurse (GDC 311761)
Klenisa is the newest member of our team and works together with Susmita in assisting our practice and decontamination. She is bubbly, always in good spirits and will be delighted to help you with your dental journey.
She is fluent in Albanian and Greek too for some of our patients who need interpretation.
Umakant Patel
Umakant is our reception and has been at the practice for over 10 years. He has shown superb dedication to the practice and will happily assist you with information or bookings.
